This is some footage from my team mate's helmet came. The course was far from spectacular, but it still made for a decent event. It was 2 days and held at Silver Star Ski Resort. Thanks to Keith Hunt and Quinton Ball my partners over the two days. May Christian's leg heal quickly.

iat has to be really hard to do dis! damn its good!
This is the first time I've seen an x-ray photo of a guitar!
I can always tell its a Canadian Vid when I se Le Page glue - nice job
Incredible, always wondered how this was done! I don't have a coping saw but I do have a scroll saw -- would that be too aggressive to work with MoP or Abalone?
That's an sg not a les Paul
The old brown hide glue is awesome ! I used it to repair a cracked bass neck and it worked great !! I highly recommend that glue !!
cool.
wonderful.
Beautiful
Thank you I just built a les paul kit guitar and I want to do a design on the head stock.. You inspired me
Wow, I'm really late to the party. (7 yrs.) Very nice work and I appreciate your time that it took to make this.
Bellissima canzone e voce fantastica
This is amazing!
Wonderful ❤
1:38 That pick scrape! Instant goosebumps. Here's a great example of loving something so much you make it happen with or without a band!
you could use a plastic tube sleeve around your rod.
A plastic sleeve caused humidity retention and serious rusting on both ends of an early '60s Gibson Heritage truss rod I'm replacing because it was made in a completely dysfunctional way.
Tell it to Gibson melissa🖕
you are the best
He really is!!
I love your work. How did the Gibson style rod work out after a few months, did it work well to straighten the neck? I see you just flattened the anchor end, would this not mean that the rod would be inclined to twist along with the nut? To me this type of rod is a lot less intrusive as it takes up a lot less room than the 2 piece rods.
ua-cam.com/video/xGd9GvAs0P8/v-deo.html
The rod works great, I took it to my mentor to help with the action however as I didn't do the neck to body joint perfect... check this out: Mike McConniville here in Stratford
@@majorgunn that is a very pretty guitar, the Rosewood looks and sounds great.
@@majorgunn what did he mean when he said there wasn't enough "load" on the truss rod, the curvature?
@@joestevens8753 when you level your finger board you want a bit of load on it. If there is load on it all ready then when you put the string tension on with your strings, you now have the ability to tune in (bend the neck) in both directions.
Use polymer glue. Most well known is gorilla glue
🤘🤘🤘
Your Gibson neck injection brought me to your page. What a 💎
15 years later & you throwing me a pearl.... You made my Friday, Thank you Zane!
@Michael Wilson absolutely! And thank you. I'm slowly learning not only how to play but also how to preserve these incredible stringed instruments. It's slow going but it keeps me happy.
Stability in wood is nowhere more important than in ship building. Michael, doubtlessly you know more than what you expressed in these three videos. Still, there is no better way than to understand QS than to look at ancient ship building, and the tools used there and newer tools developed over time. A flitch is a pie-shaped piece of wood, cut in a pit mill, where one man stood in the pit with the log above, and another man stood atop the log, both guiding their progress. They generally cut wood into pie shaped flitches, the dimensions of which, were determined by other men, who took the process from there with their own tools. There is zero waste when cutting a good log into quarter sawn flitches. Other men trimmed the flitches to their needs. Your video series is being viewed by hobby mill owners. Their small mills are limiting them in their efforts to learn how to QS. The linked video is the best I have seen, though I know with ingenuity, a better job than even this can be accomplished. ua-cam.com/video/av1T5LpGgg0/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WoodMadeHere
Nod. a pleasure to read such a complementary perspective. I will look at what you have offered. Thank you so much for your comment and knowledge. Right on, I love the chance to learn when we share and then people such as your self contribute to the body of knowledge.. Thanks for the SOLID! Michael
@@majorgunn - Thanks. Here are two possibilities to imagine. Think of a large log with a bell at the base. That too can be QS to produce very wide QS flitches, often fIgured. Similarly, imagine a large, but swooping log. This QS can produce wide swooping QS flitches. In ship building, these swooping logs have purpose. Here's a video showing an ancient ship builder's band saw. Enjoy. ua-cam.com/video/oKEd3ro3Z4I/v-deo.html&ab_channel=SampsonBoatCo
Maybe the first and the last crowning and polish on these frets.
Love it Great job... I'm here to see how to play it... I'm playing it for my mom at her memorial hopefully I can get thru it without crying...? Are you using a delay or a flange before the distortion...
Thanks
Bravo!!
That is MASTER TONE AND SOUL
😂
Good job!
I'm trying to make one out of a stainless steel paint scraper. You think it'll work? It's got the meat, with a little bit of flexibility. I just can't seem to burnish it properly.
Hello Robert, the burr is essential, perhaps put it as close to the vice as you can to keep if from flexing...try different tools to burnish. If you can make a flat edge hold it firm, you should be able to . Keep trying, Are you able to get any material off without the burr... if so just keep working on the burr, it takes a few times to get the hang of it. Thank you for watching. Michael
@@majorgunn I was able to get a tiny, tiny bit of dust off. I think I made a little bit of a burr on the edge, so it'll likely work. I was told by a sharpening expert that the metal was improperly annealed and it would be too soft to hold an edge for very long. I did only get the scraper on the cheap at the dollar store. What do you think?
Very talented!
Best cover on yt !
Nice versión keep it up girl 🙂✌🏻
It definitely didn’t suck.
Where is Maya now? No albums? She is really good.
Hello Leonard, thank you for your nice questions. Maya is writing and playing and still studying her opera voice, and an album in the works.... I will pass on your remark! Michael
Beautiful.
Fanatic, ridiculously hard to sing and play.. Ozzy Wylde
This is terrible
This is definitely one of my funeral tracks.
Najlepszy kawałek na ostatnie pożegnanie.
Maja świetnie poradziła sobie z interpretacją tego utworu,to trudny kawałek do grania dla mnie nieosiągalny.
Mis felicitaciones, hermosa versión!
Super raw, awesome!
Pretty good
Excelente
The pick scrapes are also worth mentioning!!! SOLID!!!
SHE DID THE SOLO EVEN WITHOUT THE RHYTHM... I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
She did an amazing job
Can I also use superglue for it? LG Cornelius
Hello Cornelius I expect so. The proven use with epoxy is the ability to hold the sawdust so well. Be interested to see how you make out? Thank you for watching. Michael
@@majorgunn I couldn't quite tell from the video, does the epoxy have the same problem as wood glue with darkening the sawdust, or does it hold the color pretty evenly?
Great great and great!!! One of my favourite song of Ozzy! Thank you for your deep, beautiful and amazing cover!!!!
I try to look away too (to no avail).....
Thank you and merry Christmas!
This is such a beautiful song.
